Morrison The following descriptions are recorded from observation notes made of the living collection during 1951-1952: Nigger Tree. Erect. Leaves here a little smaller than those of Lavender Glow, stems and petioles dark and when young red hairy. Center purplish-brown that passes into zone of dark green flushed over with brown, few small silver dots, margin purplish black.; A vigorous growing rex begonia with beautiful green to purple leaves that darken as they age.
