Chicago 1937. v. 18: pt. 2 (1937): Page 737-48 http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/19747 Plants erect and more or less branched; leaves petiolate, the blades transverse ovate, acuminate, unequally cordate at the base, 11 cm. long and 5 cm. wide or smaller, serrulate, palmately 6-nerved, more or less pilosulous on both surfaces; inflorescences few-flowered, shorter than the leaves or little exceeding them; sepals of the staminate flower 2; pistillate flowers 3-lobate; capsule glabrous, with 2 or 3 wings, one of the wings slightly broader than the others.
