From Assam. Leaf oblique oval long, 8-9 inches long, approximately 4 inches wide, surface silver-colored and drawn by green dots and bell-yellow nerves. Lower surface bright green with brown red nerves and veins.

1860 Le Bon Jardinier New Begonias B. argentea and B. ‘Victoria’ - Two plants well worthy of attention: in the first, the leaves, of medium size, are of a uniform silvery white with pearly reflections above; below, of a very pale green, segmented by a rich violet network formed by numerous and projecting veins. The petioles, rounded, not canaliculated, greenish, are bristling with many white and long hairs. The still young plant that we examined seemed stemless to us; she wore no flowers.
