- Description
- Begonia 'Far Out' No. 751-Begonia solananthera x prismatocarpa X unknown tuberous hybrid 'Far Out' Cane-like; trailer. Medium green, 2" x 3" leaves have a smooth surface, subentire margin, and 7 veins, with red petioles and light green stipules. Single 2" flowers, deep pink with a red eye and 4 male and 5 female tepals, are arranged in 4"-6" clusters on 8" peduncles. The unusual combination of parents has produced a trailing plant with 18" stems yielding year around blooms larger than usual for trailing varieties. Originated in 1977 by Leslie Woodriff, 1100 Griffith Road, McKinleyville, CA 95521; first bloomed in 1978; first distributed in 1979. Registered Sept. 8, 1979.
