- No. 540 - Begonia (B. 'Persian Brocade' X B. 'Dr. Jim') 'Fond Memories' Rhizomatous with leaves bright green, deeply cut, with lobes scalloped, a narrow-edge of red and red spotting along veins, this plant was originated by Goldie Frost, address above, in 1973 and first bloomed in spring of 1975 with light-pink, two petaled, ½ x 1 in. flowers arranged on a 15-in. stem. Leaves are 4 in., star-shaped, margins deeply cut; texture smooth-velvety; 7-nerved; petioles quite hairy, and stipules with hairy collar. Registered August 23, 1976.
