- No. 259 - Begonia {Rex cv. x Rex cv.) 'Lady Frances Jean' - B. 'Lady Frances Jean', a rex, was developed in 1962 and first distributed by the originator, Sylvia B. Leatherman, Leatherman's Gardens, 2637 N. Lee Ave., So. El Monte, Calif. 917 3 3, in 1966. This large, spiral rex has bronzy maroon colored leaves, with irregular, silver-blue sections, round, fluted 11" x 13 ". The margin has irregular points and the leaf is heavy textured; petioles are red with red hairs. Holds leaves the year around in California out of doors Registered June 14, 1969.
