- Begonia 'Smoke Rings' No. 826-Begonia 'Inglewood' x unknown 'Smoke Rings' Rhizomatous. Apple-green, 5" x 3"" leaves with smoky, ciliate margins and smoky flecks on the 6 veins are obliquely ovate, angulate, acuminate, and succulent with a quilted appearance, on a compact ~plant. Petioles are hairy; stipules, chartaceous. Pink, 2-tepaled, 1" flowers with red-flecked ovaries are carried in forked cymes on 10"-12" peduncles in the spring. Originated by Kit Jeans (address above) in 1978; first bloomed in 1980; first distributed in 1980. Tested by Thelma 0' Reilly, 10942 Sunray Place, La Mesa, CA 92041. Registered July 22, 1980.
