- No. 431-Begonia {B. 'Norah Bedson' x B. 'Verde Grande' seedling) 'Stained Glass' Hiroshi Shigemi, 1-7 Shinonomehigashi-machi Sakae, Osaka, Japan, originated this rhizomatous begonia in 1970; it first bloomed in 1971, and was first distributed and published in Japan in 1972, publication not shown. The leaves are mahogany red, star-shaped, 5" x 3 1/2”, margin eye lashed, texture satiny, seven nerves, petioles 5-6". Flowers are pink less than one inch, on 8" flower stem in spring. Registered Jan. 6, 1975.
