Plant

Description
Begonia Bijou. In the "Revue horticole", Mr. Carriere describes this new hybrid, which was produced at Veitch in London by the crossing of the B. socotrana X B. insignis, and is first brought into the market by Thibaut & Keteleer in Sceaux already known for the wonderful B. Gloire de Sceaux, is, Bijou is in the fullest sense of the word, a "semperflorens." The plant is of a very compact structure, and is characterized by its numerous habitats. The flowers are very fine, fiery, fleshy-red, the color being more or less intense, according to the duration of the bloom. This novelty plant does not cease to bloom even in winter, whether it be in the warm or temperate and whether it can also be used for the free country during the summer, will be taught by the experience.
